Everyone must be well aware of the fact that the UAE passport became the most powerful passport in the world. The UAE passport earned the top spot, only last year when the country was observing its 47th National Day and the country’s accomplishments since the year 1971.
The UAE passport climbed from the 4th spot to the 3rd spot and finally to the top spot of the Passport Index. Being on the top spot, an Emirati or a UAE passports holder would be able to travel to 167 countries without the need of a pre-visa necessity.
On the event of the UAE passport gaining the top spots, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed the news, in a tweet and stated that the world has opened its doors for the people of the UAE.
He even praised the foreign ministry headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation. In fact, Sheikh Abdullah stated that the feat achieved in making the UAE passport number 1 is a true impression of the tradition and heritage that was laid down by the late Sheikh Zayed, the Founding Father of the UAE.
On the occasion of allowing citizens from 58 countries to enter the UAE without a prior visa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation planned to ease the process of giving visa service in order to attain its vision of being a supreme model of global customer service in the hope of providing improved customer service.
Among the list of the five powerful passports, the UAE passport is one of them.
Basically, UAE passport holder can now travel to 165 nations around the world; 113 destinations would be offering visa-free travel and 52 would offer eVisa or visa on arrival at the airport.
UAE passport moved from the 27th spot in 2016, December to be placed globally in the first spot in December 2018.
This accomplishment mirrors the civilized face of the UAE and the respect and recognition it enjoys at the regional and international levels. It is accompanied by a wise policy and leadership to build a strings image of the country.
