According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, citizens of 58 nations in the world can enter the UAE without prior visa, which includes 31 nations from the European Union and the Schengen region; 20 nations whose nationals are treated according to ministerial decisions; and three other nations according to reciprocity.
According to the visa exemption schedules recently issued by the Ministry on its website, European Union nationals and the Schengen region are spared from the State’s entry visa, according to the principle of correlation. These nations are Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Slovenia, Malta, Romania and the Republic of Montenegro.
Citizens of these nations, holders of diplomatic, official, service and regular passports, would be able to visit the State without the requirement for an advance visa and stay there for a period not outpacing 90 days.
Citizens from 20 nations with a normal passport can enter the UAE without a visa and stay for up to 30 days as per ministerial decisions. The countries are Andorra, Australia, Brunei, Canada, China, India, Japan, Monaco, Mauritius, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, San Marino, Republic of Korea, United States, United Kingdom, Vatican, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, and Russian Federation.
There are three other nations whose ordinary passport holders can enter the UAE on the principle of reciprocity: Seychelles, the Bahamas, and the Argentine Republic.
GCC citizens won’t need an entry visa, or a sponsor, to visit the UAE. They may enter the UAE after presenting a passport circulated by a GCC State or ID card once they have reached one of the entry points to the State. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation settled to expedite the process of declaring the visa service in order to attain its vision of being a noted model of global customer service in the faith in the values of excellence in performance and continuous advancement in customer service.
Official sources have also declared that the UAE has attained a new historic feat, adding to its history of accomplishments in diverse fields.

According to the Passport Index, which is an interactive passport classification system, a UAE passport holder can travel to 167 nations without the need for a visa. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has launched the UAE Passport Power drive, with the aim of placing the UAE passport on the list of the top five passports in the world by 2021, but UAE has attained this goal three years earlier than the deadline set by the drive.
