A new weekly flight from Cape Town that would now start to operate will make it much easier for tourists to travel to the remote island of St Helena. Until the year 2017, the only way to reach the British Overseas Territory was by taking a five-day journey from the South Atlantic through a Royal Mail Ship in Cape Town. The long duration of journey kept many tourists away from the island from visiting it, but now with the introduction of the new airport things are going to change and it would just take six hours to reach the island from the Johannesburg airport.
